Sunlight

Full Sun. To prevent the tree from becoming sparse or losing its compact character, provide as much direct, bright sunlight as possible. It is a true sun-seeker that will perform best in a south-facing position.

Watering

Moderate. Because of its very small container, this tree will dry out quickly. Check the moisture daily during warmer months; water thoroughly when the top 1–2 cm of soil feels dry. Never allow it to sit in standing water, as the roots are delicate and prone to rot.

Soil & Drainage

Requires a high-quality, free-draining loam-based compost heavily amended with grit or perlite. Excellent drainage is critical for such a small volume of soil to ensure roots remain healthy and well-aerated.
