- Size (H × W)
- 170 x 110 7 inch Trunk cm
- Sunlight
- Full Sun. To thrive, this bonsai requires maximum sunlight at least 6 hours of direct sun daily. An outdoor position during the growing season is ideal; if kept indoors, place it in the brightest possible spot, such as a south-facing window.
- Watering
- Moderate. Allow the top surface of the soil to dry out slightly between waterings, but never let the root ball dry out completely. Because of the limited soil volume in a bonsai pot, check the moisture daily during hot summer weather. Use tepid water to avoid shocking the roots.
- Soil & Drainage
- Requires specialized, extremely fast-draining bonsai substrate (a mix of akadama, pumice, and lava grit). This ensures the roots get the oxygen they need and prevents the dreaded "wet feet," which this species is sensitive to.
