Camelia Flower (Camellia japonica) Lollipop

This Camellia offers a beautiful twist on a classic favorite. Sunlight

Partial to Full Shade. It prefers a sheltered spot with dappled light. Try to avoid planting it where it gets harsh, direct morning sun right after a winter frost, as thawing out too quickly can damage the developing flower buds.

Watering

Moderate. Keep the soil evenly moist but never soggy. It is especially important to water it consistently during late summer and autumn, as this is when the plant forms next year’s flower buds. If possible, water it with collected rainwater, as Camellias can be sensitive to the calcium in hard tap water.

Soil & Drainage

Needs acidic, well-drained soil to thrive. If your garden soil isn't naturally acidic, it is highly recommended to keep this topiary in a large container filled with high-quality ericaceous (acidic) compost. Ensure the pot has plenty of drainage holes.
