Watering: Low to Moderate. Once established, this is an incredibly drought-tolerant palm. It dislikes sitting in damp, cold soil. During the summer growing season, you can provide occasional deep watering, but ensure the soil is allowed to dry out significantly between waterings.
Soil & Drainage: Extremely well-drained soil is the top priority. It is very adaptable to various soil types but will fail in heavy, waterlogged, or poorly draining ground. If planting in a container, use a very free-draining, grit-heavy mix, and always ensure the pot is raised on feet to prevent moisture retention at the base.
