Cycas Revoluta (Sago Palm)

Sunlight

Full Sun to Partial Shade. It loves a bright, sunny position to stay compact and healthy. In the hottest part of the summer, a little light, dappled shade can help prevent the dark green leaves from bleaching, but it generally thrives with plenty of light.

Watering

Low to Moderate. This plant is very drought-tolerant once it has settled in. Water thoroughly during the growing season, but always ensure the soil is dry to the touch before watering again. During the winter, keep it quite dry to avoid any risk of root rot.

Soil & Drainage

Sharply drained, sandy soil is essential. It is very sensitive to having "wet feet," so whether it is planted in the ground or a large feature pot, use a gritty, free-draining compost mix. If your soil is heavy or holds water, definitely work in extra horticultural grit to ensure water moves through the root zone quickly
